Hotel Booking Pro 1.36.0-rc.7 is the commercial companion to Free 3.28.0-rc.7. It requires the matching Free Core and adds license-gated payments, customer surfaces, advanced tax rules, the iCal Calendar Sync feature, and other Pro-only integrations. Pro consumes Free’s public contracts; it does not replace Free’s booking, tax, snapshot or inventory authority.
iCal and advanced integrations
This RC introduces the Pro-owned iCal Calendar Sync implementation with iCal schema 1.0.0 and health schema 1.0.0. Per-room export links expose busy periods, while imported sources reconcile read-only external_block records. Scheduler retries preserve the last known-good snapshot and surface failures to the administrator. External blocks are not ordinary bookings: they cannot be confirmed or cancelled from Hotel Booking. The existing Booking.com and Agoda API integrations remain under Advanced Integration, with their own credentials, mappings, callbacks and source labels. iCal must never be described as an API channel or silently merged with those records.
Pro payment and reservation callbacks retain the exactly-once settlement rule; duplicate provider events are idempotent and never create a second block.
Install Pro only after Free, verify the license state, rotate any exposed iCal export token, and run the import/export and scheduler health checks. An expired license can stop new Pro fetches according to the contract, but existing external blocks remain enforced so the site fails closed against overbooking. If Pro is unavailable, Free remains installable and operational without Pro; commercial code and schema must not be copied into Free.
