Import creates read-only external inventory blocks. It does not import a guest, payment or OTA reservation record. One room type can have multiple sources, and each source has its own provider label, quantity and schedule.
Add a source
- Open Hotel Booking → Rooms, edit the room type and select OTA Sync.
- Expand Add an iCal source.
- Choose the Channel (
Booking.com,Airbnbor Other OTA) and enter a clear Source label. - Paste the OTA’s public HTTPS iCal feed URL. A
webcallink is normalized to HTTPS; credentials, fragments, IP literals, custom ports and private network targets are rejected. - Set Rooms blocked per event from 1 up to the room inventory quantity.
- Keep Sync interval (minutes) at 30 unless the OTA and operating policy require another value between 5 and 1,440.
- Leave Source status as Active, select Add source, then use Sync now for the first controlled fetch.
The URL is encrypted at rest and displayed only in masked form. A valid event becomes an external_block for its date interval, check-in inclusive and check-out exclusive. A normal website search counts that block, so guests cannot reserve the same inventory.
Do not add the same OTA reservation through the API and iCal paths. If an OTA changes its URL, edit the source, paste the replacement and save; existing blocks remain until a successful snapshot reconciles them. See sync health when the first run does not complete.
