Configure hotel profile, currency and timezone

Set the hotel identity, base currency and WordPress timezone before creating prices or accepting bookings.

Set the hotel identity and operating timezone first, then choose the three-letter base currency used for new room prices and bookings.

Set the WordPress timezone

  1. Open Settings → General.
  2. Set Timezone to the hotel’s operating city or correct UTC offset.
  3. Select Save Changes.

The WordPress timezone controls date and time presentation used by Hotel Booking. Prefer a named city when daylight-saving changes apply.

Set the hotel profile

  1. Open Hotel Booking → Settings.
  2. In Hotel Profile, enter Hotel Name.
  3. Enter the monitored operational Email and Phone.
  4. Enter the full Address used in guest-facing communication.
  5. Enter the ISO three-letter code in Hotel Currency, such as USD, EUR or VND.
  6. Select Save Changes.

Expected result

The settings screen reports Settings saved successfully. New booking forms use the configured currency, while historical booking snapshots retain their stored values. Hotel contact details are available to the product’s guest-facing communication surfaces.

Verify

  1. Reload Hotel Booking → Settings and confirm every field persisted.
  2. Open /search-availability/ and run a future-date search.
  3. Confirm the displayed currency and date context match the configuration.
  4. Create a controlled test booking and compare the frontend total with the saved administration record.

Do not continue to payment setup if the currency is wrong. Payment gateways can have their own supported-currency rules and should be configured only after the hotel base currency is final.
