Hotel Setup

Manage amenities, gallery and room content

Add reusable amenities and an ordered, accessible image gallery that gives guests enough context to choose a room.

Use consistent amenities and a focused gallery to make room types comparable. Hotel Booking Free owns the source data; Aurelia or another theme decides how it is composed on the frontend.

Add amenities

  1. Open Hotel Booking → Amenities.
  2. Create or edit an amenity with a clear, reusable name.
  3. Save the amenity.
  4. Open Hotel Booking → Rooms and edit the room type.
  5. Select the amenities that apply to this room.
  6. Select Update Room.

Do not enter the same amenity with spelling variants. One canonical amenity keeps room cards and translations consistent.

  1. In the room editor, open Room Images.
  2. Select images from the WordPress Media Library.
  3. Drag images into the intended reading order.
  4. Choose one Featured image.
  5. Check each Media Library item’s alternative text and remove private or identifying material.
  6. Select Update Room.

The frontend falls back from an explicit featured image to the first gallery image and then to a placeholder. A missing image must not break the room card.

Verify

Open /rooms/ and a room detail view at desktop and mobile widths. Confirm the featured image, gallery order, captions or alternative text, amenities and description match the approved source. Open the same room through /search-availability/ and confirm no room-specific business data was changed.

Reviews and ratings are a separate Hotel Booking Pro capability. Do not model a review as an amenity or add review fields to Free room content.
