Hotel Booking Free supplies the base room price used when a quote is created. Hotel Booking Pro can add conditional price rules and a price calendar, but it does not replace the Free room and availability source of truth.
Free base price
- Open Hotel Booking → Rooms and edit the published room type.
- Enter the room’s Base Price in the configured site currency.
- Confirm capacity, inventory and the effective date range before saving.
- Run a private availability search and compare the nightly price with the expected base price.
The server derives the room subtotal from the selected dates and required room quantity. A browser value or theme display is advisory and cannot be used to override the saved quote.
Pro adjustments
With an active Pro entitlement, open Hotel Booking → Price Rules. Create a rule only when its date, room, season, weekday or adjustment scope is understood. Use the Price Calendar link to inspect the effective result for a date before publishing a campaign. Keep overlapping rules intentional and document the priority used to resolve them.
After changing a rule, test a future date in a private window and confirm the result returned by the availability search. Existing bookings keep their immutable price snapshot; editing a rule does not rewrite a historical total.
If Pro is unavailable, Free base pricing and existing snapshots remain intact. Do not duplicate a Pro adjustment by changing the Free base price during an entitlement incident. Record the room, dates, rule name and visible quote when escalating a mismatch.
