The Pro WooCommerce Checkout method sends a Hotel Booking order to WooCommerce. WooCommerce owns the selected gateway and checkout UI; Hotel Booking remains authoritative for the room quote, tax snapshot and linked payment ledger.
Preflight
- Confirm WooCommerce is active and the Checkout page is published with a public permalink.
- Match the Hotel Booking currency to WooCommerce currency.
- Confirm WooCommerce Number of decimals preserves the booking’s minor units; do not use a rounding workaround.
- Enable and configure the desired gateway in WooCommerce, using its sandbox mode for rehearsal.
- Open Hotel Booking → Settings → Payments, enable WooCommerce Checkout and save.
Verify
Use a dedicated test customer and future dates. Submit Book Now once and confirm the redirect to WooCommerce Checkout. Complete the sandbox payment, return to the site and verify the booking confirmation, amount, currency and payment status. The linked order must match exactly; a mismatch is a configuration fault and must fail closed.
If the order is pending, inspect WooCommerce order notes and the Hotel Booking payment timeline before retrying. Do not change decimal precision mid-order or create a replacement booking. A settings correction applies to a new attempt; existing snapshots remain unchanged.
Treat gateway credentials and customer data as private. Escalate with the booking code, WooCommerce order ID, currency, decimal setting and redacted status only. For a direct gateway flow, see Stripe or PayPal.
