Booking Operations

Moderate verified guest reviews

Use Hotel Booking Pro's post-checkout review workflow to filter, moderate and publish verified room feedback safely.

Guest Reviews is a Hotel Booking Pro capability. Reviews submitted through a secure post-checkout invitation remain separate from room type content until a staff member approves them.

Review statuses

Status Meaning Staff action
Invited A review invitation exists. Wait for a submission.
Pending moderation A guest submitted content awaiting review. Inspect the booking context and text.
Approved The review is eligible for entitled frontend presentation. Keep only if it meets policy.
Rejected The review is not displayed. Retain the moderation record.

Moderate a submission

  1. Open Hotel Booking → Guest Reviews.
  2. Filter by review status, star rating or guest, email or review text.
  3. Open the linked booking context and check that the review is verified.
  4. Read the full text and confirm it contains no private operational detail.
  5. Select Approve or Reject.
  6. Reload the list and confirm the status and count changed.

Only approved, verified summaries are presented on Room Detail. Free-only or unentitled requests emit no review wrapper or query.

If a review appears attached to the wrong booking, do not edit the booking or publish the review. Preserve its ID and redacted evidence and escalate it to the review owner.
