Install Pro only after the accepted Free version is active. Then activate the site license from the Hotel Booking settings area.
Before you begin
Confirm Hotel Booking 3.28.0-rc.7 is active and the Pro ZIP is version 1.36.0-rc.7. Create a database backup and a copy of the existing plugin directories. Have the license key available in a private password manager; do not paste it into a support ticket or screenshot.
Install Pro
- Open Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Select Upload Plugin.
- Choose the trusted Hotel Booking Pro ZIP.
- Select Install Now.
- Select Activate Plugin.
Activate the license
- Open Hotel Booking → License.
- Enter the key in License key.
- Select Activate license once.
- Wait for the success notice and the refreshed status card.
The raw key is sent for activation and is not stored by the plugin. The browser must not display the activation token.
Expected result
The License screen reports Edition: Pro, Pro features: Available, Updates: Available and Support: Available for an active entitlement. The installed version is 1.36.0-rc.7. Pro administration items appear only when their feature entitlement and the current user’s capability allow them.
Verify
- On Hotel Booking → License, select Check now.
- Confirm Last successful check is updated.
- Select Check for updates and confirm the request completes without an entitlement or environment error.
- Open one required Pro screen and confirm it loads without changing existing booking or price data.
License states and recovery
- During a temporary validation connection issue, a previously active result can keep Pro features available for up to 72 hours.
- After that grace boundary, Pro features become unavailable and Free remains available.
- With an expired license, installed Pro features continue to operate, but updates and support are unavailable.
- A revoked, invalid, deactivated or incompatible license disables Pro features without deleting Hotel Booking business data.
If activation fails, record the visible error code, verify HTTPS and the site URL, and use Check now after connectivity is restored. Do not keep submitting the form or expose the key. Use Deactivate before permanently removing this site so the license seat can be released; do not deactivate merely to perform a normal update.
