Install Free first. A successful activation adds the Hotel Booking administration area and registers the public room and search routes.
Before you begin
Verify WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. Obtain the trusted hotel-booking ZIP for version 3.28.0-rc.7. Back up the database before installing on an existing site.
Install the package
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Select Upload Plugin.
- Choose the trusted Hotel Booking Free ZIP.
- Select Install Now.
- When installation completes, select Activate Plugin.
Expected result
Hotel Booking appears in the administration menu. The Plugins screen shows Hotel Booking version 3.28.0-rc.7 as active. The plugin registers the virtual /rooms/ and /search-availability/ routes; you do not need to create WordPress Pages for those two URLs.
Verify
- Open Hotel Booking → Settings and confirm the settings screen loads.
- Open the
/rooms/path on the frontend and confirm it does not return a 404. - Open
/search-availability/and confirm the availability form appears. - Open Settings → Permalinks and select Save Changes only if either virtual route returns a 404.
Recovery
If activation fails, leave the failed package deactivated, capture the exact error and confirm the platform requirements. Do not uninstall an existing copy to retry. Restore the prior plugin directory and database backup if the failed attempt changed an established site, then repeat the route checks.
Next, complete hotel profile, currency and timezone or install Hotel Booking Pro.
