How to Set Up Booking.com and Agoda Synchronization

Hotel Booking Pro includes OTA synchronization tools for Booking.com and Agoda. Careful room mapping and regular monitoring are essential because incorrect mappings or delayed jobs can create inventory conflicts.

Before connecting a channel

  • Create all room types and inventory in Hotel Booking.
  • Confirm that the corresponding property and room types already exist in the OTA account.
  • Collect the property identifiers, room identifiers, credentials, and webhook information required by the channel.
  • Back up the site and begin with a limited test window when possible.

Connect and map rooms

  1. Open Hotel Booking → OTA Sync.
  2. Select Booking.com or Agoda and enter the required connection settings.
  3. Map every external room type to exactly one intended Hotel Booking room type.
  4. Review occupancy, inventory, rate, and timezone assumptions for each mapping.
  5. Save the settings and run a controlled synchronization test.

Verify reservation imports

Confirm that a test OTA reservation creates or updates the correct Hotel Booking record with the expected dates, room, guest, amount, and external reference. Repeated webhook events should not create duplicate reservations. Check modification and cancellation events as well as new bookings.

Prevent overbooking

  • Keep WordPress cron and the server scheduler running reliably.
  • Do not map multiple unrelated rooms to the same external room type.
  • Review synchronization logs after configuration changes.
  • Use conservative availability while testing a new connection.
  • Investigate failed jobs before manually changing the same reservation in multiple systems.

Troubleshooting

Check credentials, property and room mappings, timezone, webhook authentication, outbound HTTPS access, inbound firewall rules, and scheduled actions. Record the external reservation identifier and relevant log time when contacting support, but never share channel passwords or secret keys.
